Kirkland community

"I became involved with the community of Kirkland in 1996, joining "Kirkland Downtown on the Lake" at its beginning and chaired the Design Committee from 1996 to 1998.

As a result, I was appointed to be a member of the committee that formulated Kirkland's "Downtown Strategic Plan," the community's plan to transform the central city area to a high quality pedestrian village.

I have since been involved in the implementation phase of ongoing community involvement with the Downtown Action Team, and co-chaired the study for the Lakeshore Plaza.

In 2004, I created the stunning watercolors featured in Kirkland's Centennial calendar, helping Kirkland Celebrate 100 Years, from 1905-2005. Each month features local Kirkland landmarks and scenery. This calendar was sent to all the residences of Kirkland as a "Centennial Birthday Gift." Learn more.
